Director Mary Knights Rossler brings more than 20 years of teaching and choreography experience to the floor. A graduate with Distinction from the National Ballet School’s Teacher Training Program (TTP-Dip NBS), Mary has had the unique experience of working closely with students training for a professional career in dance. Students at this level of training require more than just technical and artistic clarity, they must maintain cardiovascular fitness, learn proper nutrition habits and use specific exercises to prevent injury. And, above all, they must develop their passion and enjoyment of dance. Mary believes that sharing this knowledge with every dancer, recreational to full-time competitive, is the key to helping them become strong, confident, well-rounded dancers.
Mary is a Member and Registered Teacher with the Royal Academy of Dance (ARAD – RTS), the Cecchetti Society of Canada (Associate – CSC) and the British Association of Teachers of Dance (BATD).
She has done choreography and staging for local theatre including Tale as Old as Time and Peter Pan in Neverland as well as Production Management. Students under her tutelage have won the Junior Ballet Title in the British Dance Championships two years consecutively and many awards and scholarships have been presented to her students in dance competitions throughout Canada and the United States.
